The Confess Project

What they say: The Confess Project has the first and largest organization committed to building a culture of mental health for Black boys, men, and their families. How? We focus on empowering frontline heroes and sheroes in Communities across America. More specifically, we train barbers to be mental health advocates.

Black Girls Smile

What they say: Black Girls Smile was founded with a mission to provide young Black women with education, resources, and support to lead mentally healthy lives. BGS' mission is grounded in research, focus group findings, and personal experiences highlighting the under-served and underrepresented mental health needs of young Black women.

NAYA Family Center

What they say: Founded by the community, for the community, NAYA is a family of numerous tribes and voices who are rooted in sustaining tradition and building cultural wealth. We provide culturally-specific programs and services that guide our people in the direction of personal success and balance through cultural empowerment. Our continuum of lifetime services create a wraparound, holistic healthy environment that is Youth Centered, Family Driven, Elder Guided.

The Trevor Project

What they say: The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people.

Raphael House

What they say: For over 40 years, Raphael House of Portland has helped survivors find safety, hope, and independence. Since opening our doors in 1977, we’ve offered uninterrupted access to emergency domestic violence shelter in a confidential location. Our programs continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of survivors and our community in creative and innovative ways. In 2006, our Prevention Education Program was established to address the underlying causes of intimate partner violence and create a healthier and safer community for everyone.
